Five seller myths in this market that you should not fall for.

Not only am I in a good mood, but I’m also sure sellers are too. We’re in a strong seller’s market, but despite that, there are a few myths I’d like to address today:

Myth No. 1: Your home is going to sell in three days. That’s not always the case, and you don’t always want it to be the case. Buyers are making their choices quickly in this market, but you might leave money on the table if you sell too quickly.

Myth No. 2: You can price your home sky high. It’s not a good idea to do this in any market. People simply won’t come to your home. They’ll see it online, but the price will make buyers sit on the sideline and never visit your home.

Myth No. 3: You don’t need to do anything to your home. You can’t just leave the laundry out. You want to put every ounce of energy into doing a few things: painting, decluttering, and maybe even changing the cabinets. You don’t need to knock down walls or redo your kitchen, though.

“It’s never a good idea to price your home sky high. ”

Myth No. 4: You can sell your home as is. How does that term make you feel? It suggests that there is something wrong with your home, so it usually scares buyers away.

Myth No. 5: You don’t need a real estate agent.  When you work with a professional agent, we can market your home online, hire professional photographers, and more. We’ll slingshot the marketing to every buyer we can, and the more eyes you have on your home, the more offers you’ll get.
